Natural Geography
- Buyeo is located at the southwest of Chungcheong nam-do Province the center of the peninsula, and has the same latitude as Haulbin, Windam and the same longitude as Tokyo, Teheran. As for transportation conditions, Buyeo is the center of the transportation connecting with Western Highway(the southwestern part of Korea) and the inland.
Climate
- Buyeo has a temperate climate, with an annunal average temperature of 12.4 ¢ªC. The average temperature is 0.4 ¢ªC in winter and 24.6 ¢ªC in summer, showing 24.2 ¢ªC of difference in temperature. The annual average precipitiation is 1388.4mm, most of precipitation concentrated in summer owing to the effect of the northpacific high atmospheric pressure.
Population
- Buyeo has a population of 95,213 as of January 1. 2000 and the population density is 157 persons per §´,. The area of Buyeo county is 624.81§´, having the 5the largest area in Chungcheongnam-do province after Gongju city, Seosan city, Dangjin gun and Cheonan city.
